Planned
Giving

Planned giving allows you make a forever gift to benefit local breast cancer initiatives of Pink Alliance as it serves to advocate for breast health and cancer support in the Brazos Valley.

An endowment gift to Pink Alliance today provides a hope for others in the future. When you make a donation to our endowment, you provide a gift with both immediate and long-term benefits. Endowment donations are invested. A portion of the annual income from the investment is used to provide funding support for annual grants and patient services.

The remaining funds are reinvested to ensure indefinite support to sustain the good works of Pink Alliance into the future.

Pink Alliance has established an endowment through the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley.

If you include Pink Alliance in your giving plans, please use our legal name and federal tax ID.

Estate Giving

Here is some sample language to share with your attorney if you would like to include Pink Alliance in your estate plans:

"I give, devise and bequeath to Pink Alliance, a not-for-profit organization having its administrative offices in Bryan, Texas, for the use of its activities in the support of annual grants and related program support, the sum of _____ dollars and/or ___ shares of capital stock of _____coorporation and/or the following described property  ______ and/or ___% of my residuary estate."

IRA

The IRA charitable rollover provision permits individuals age 70 and older to make charitable donations of up to $100,000 from Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and Roth IRAs without having to count the distributions as taxable income. The IRA Charitable Rollover is intended to benefit donors of all income levels. You should consult with your tax or legal counsel to make sure that you meet all the criteria and that your intended gift will qualify under this provision.

Life Insurance

Making Pink Alliance the beneficiary of a life insurance policy is one of the simplest ways of providing a bequest to further the good works of Pink Alliance. Also, the substantial leverage involved in insurance would afford you the capability of gifting a significant amount for a relatively small cost; in return you would probably receive an income tax charitable deduction. Please consult your accountant or legal counsel for additional information.

Stocks

If you were thinking of locking in some of your capital gains this year, consider the more tax-efficient alternative of donating shares of appreciated mutual funds or stock to Pink Alliance instead. You can deduct the current market value of the gift for income tax purposes, just as if you had made cash payment. As an added advantage, you will avoid any capital gains taxes you would have owed if you had sold the assets instead.
